Marwan & Noam
Two gifted and versatile artists, come together in a duet that intertwines Arabic and Hebrew.
In the weaving together of songs, the two languages meet like two souls seeking to reconnect, embodying their beauty, playfulness and expressiveness.
Their performance is a deeply stirring, heart-melting experience. With the simplest of mediums – two voices, two guitars – Marwan and Noam create a very powerful journey, resonating a loud, clear and timely political message.
Marwan Halabi
Marwan is a Palestinian of Druze descent from Mount Carmel, fluent in both Hebrew and Arabic. His music stems from his identity as someone positioned in the middle, someone who identifies with both sides. It’s a unique standpoint, being able to embrace such different perspectives simultaneously without being torn apart. From this position, Marwan’s music embodies a spirit of connection and unity.
Noam Enbar
Noam is a driving force behind many groundbreaking musical projects. Notably, he founded and led one of the most innovative, influential and politically engaged bands in Israel – Habiluim. Noam also founded The Great Gehenna Choir. Through his compositions for the choir, he explores the interplay of art and ritual, crafting soul-stirring musical ceremonies. Over the past decade, Noam has developed an innovative vocal method, working extensively with both professional and non-professional singers. Noam also holds space in ceremonies for diverse communities, convinced of the transformative power of psychedelic work to unite and connect people.
